Sierra turns 12!

Can you believe it? I can't! Sierra is 12!!! Holy Cow! When did I get so old?! I'm only 31! I don't really feel old....how do I have a daughter that is in Y.W.'s already?! Okay, I feel better now. ;) Sierra had a great birthday week. I say week because I let her skip school on Wednesday and we spent the whole day shopping for her. My mom and sister came along, and we had Emma tagging along too. It was a wonderful Girl's day out! We met up that morning at D.I. in Rexburg where Amanda and I kept Sierra pretty busy in the dressing room for a good hour! We were all really happy she only had her walking cast so she could take it off to try on everything....but it was a lot of hopping on one foot for her! She tried on a LOT of clothes....but ended up with a LOT of clothes. She was due. She ended up with a bunch of pants and capris, tees, a jacket, shoes, socks, underwear and then to top it all off.....she got her ears pierced! It was always the rule growing up in our family that you had to wait until you were at least 12 to get your ears pierced and I have stuck to that too! She was SO excited to finally get them pierced. Lucky for her, her birthday is in April and has the best birthstone ever....the diamond.....so naturally that is what she picked.

Sierra with her loot!

Proudly showing off the tiny stones in her ears. She had some extra money so she bought a couple of pairs of earrings for herself. She can't wait to get to wear those ones too.

So, on with the birthday week. Friday night she had a few of her friends come sleepover. They are all so goofy! It was a lot of fun with them all there.

While they were going through things looking for candy, they happened upon a few leftover fireworks and sparklers. What's better than fireworks for your birthday?!

They had fun giggling, talking, trying to scare one another and all the other girly slumber party things. I made Pink Lemonade Pie with raspberries for Sierra....that is what she requested...she doesn't like cake very much. The next day, her actual birthday, she was able to go to E.F.Y. up at BYU-I. She LOVED it so much. It was a great birthday for her! I love her SO much! She is such a good kid, she 's so smart and loveable. She's a great babysitter(for me and others)! She's kind of an "old" soul. I am so proud to be her mom! Love you Miss Sierra!

Dance Competition

Grace and Joe have both been in dance all year and they were able to do a local dance competition to show off their skills. There were way excited! Grace does Jazz and Lyrical dancing and she loves it. She is pretty flexible and very proud of that fact. Here she is showing off her leg extension....I wish I could do that! This is her 3rd....or maybe 4th year dancing. Her first year she did ballet, but her teacher left to go to college at the end of that year so she moved over to the Jazz/Lyrical dancing. She loves it....she has NO problem being out in front of everyone.

Joe is in a boys Hip-Hop class and he really loves it too. This is his second year doing it...kinda. Last year was just a 1/2 year, his class didn't start until February, and there were about 9 boys in it. It was tough to keep them focused to learn too much. But this year there are only 2 of them and they've had a lot of personal attention and really have learned a LOT this year. They are so fun to watch!

Miss Em....she really wishes she were out there dancing too. This fall she'll get to start....she's so excited!

Grace's team doing their dance.....They scored really well....I think they had a 97 out of 100.

The boys are sitting with their awsome teacher Kaitlyn getting ready to go on. They are such little gangsta's when they get out there and start doing their swagger.....too fun to watch!

It's so much fun watching the kids do something they really enjoy! I'm so proud of them!

Little Rebecca's Blessing-March 7th

On the first weekend of March we all headed over to Mountain Home to visit Gary's sister and her little family. They were blessing their baby girl that Sunday and most of the family was there. It was such a good time! As soon as we get there it's definitely game time...especially for the kids! There are a lot of girl cousins so they naturally head straight for the dress ups! And the ones who aren't dressing up...and some that are, went outside to play some frisby and run around with Grandpa and Uncle Garin.

Needless to say, Grandpa helped Joe over the fence more than once to retrieve the frisby or a ball from the neighbors yard! ;-)

We had a nice big dinner that night with the fam. There was prime rib, green salad, breadsticks, and a few other things....very yummy!

Afterwards we left Sierra home with the baby and went to the hotel with the cousins and went swimming.

Here are Gloria's 3 beautiful girls! Hannah was NOT happy to be getting her picture taken...she was HUNGRY! :)

With the grandkids the girls rule! They out number the boys 2 to 1, so the boys are all used to doing the "girly" thing too. Here they were dressing up Bret in many different outfits and showing him off to everyone....I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it too....he was the one making sure we were taking pictures! ;-)

One of the vehicles had a flat tire, so Obviously it needed everyone's attention! It was a beautiful weekend and we had lots of fun together.

They are so cute together! Cousins....gotta love 'em!

Emmalee's Birthday

My baby girl turned 4 years old on February 24th this year. Wow.....I can't believe she's 4! Her birthday was on a Wednesday so that night my Mom, Matt, Amanda and Noah came over. Tasha stopped by for a minute too. As you can see...many of them were all wearing red that day.

Emma and I went shopping the day before for new clothes, so she pretty much knew what she was getting.....CLOTHES!!! Woot! My kids grow WAY too fast. I have the hardest time keeping them in things that fit.

She was so excited to get a couple of new skirts. She wears them both all of the time!

Noah wanted to wear it too! ;-)

I hadn't done any cake for her birthday....I had cookies that I had made and we were just going to have those. Kinda lame, I know. But I was making a big cake for her on Saturday and I didn't want to be caked out. So, I got a phone call from my brother Matt and he told me that Dairy Queens transformers had gone out that afternoon and they were getting rid of their ice cream cakes for 1/2 price so he asked if I wanted him to get one for Emma. I said sure! So Matt and everyone else showed up and we had ice cream cake with princesses on it. Em loved it of course!

We always seem to have a dance performance the week of Emmalee's birthday and this year was no different. That Saturday the kids had their first performance. It's usually a sort of show case for different dance studios in the area and the Rigby High School Dance team. So we went to that to watch Grace and Joe perform and then ran home to get ready for Em's party with her cousins.

Em looking cute in one of her new skirts!

Finally she got some toys!

We were getting ready to sing "Happy Birthday" to Emma when we opened the back door to yell at the boys to come in and this is what we saw! My nephew was stuck in the monkey bars. Silly boy! I had to run out and rescue him!

The girls were all in the house watching silly videos on YouTube.

Silly girls!

Emmalee and her princess castle cake......scaled way down from last year!

Make a wish and blow out the candles baby girl! I hope all of your dreams come true for you!
