Tada! Here are the pics I promised. Emma's birthday cake turned out pretty nice if you ask me. It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it and so did Miss Em. There were a few more things I thought about adding to it, but it needed to be done because we had a Ward Party to go to.
Here's a side view.......
Here's the other side view...........
And this is the back. I couldn't resist doing the little lace trellice thing and the vines. It turned out so cute. My husband thinks I'm completely crazy that I enjoy doing all of this! I can't help it, it's in my DNA. My mother is the same way.
And here, my beautiful birthday girl! What would we do without her?! Seeing the excitement on this little face makes all the work on the cake completely worth it!
You are so talented! I will have to hire you to do RJ's cakes ;). Yeah, we were going to go, but we got held up in Idaho Falls till 630 and then when RJ started feeling crappy, we thought it was best to stay home so he could rest. Just one question though...Is my life being boring really that good of a thing?...hmmm...have to consider that one..Anyway, thanks for the post on my blog and great job on Emma's cake!
You're amazing! My kids are lucky to get a boring old sheet cake with sprinkles. ;) Did you read my message on your last post? I wasn't sure if you'd know what I meant... I took your first picture in the last post, lightened it and warmed it a bit in photoshop. Her face was just so cute, so I couldn't resist. I hope you're not mad. :) If you want me to send you the new version, just email me. (bmatcsmith@gmail.com)
I'm just a Stay-at-Home Mom who loves to bake things that I grew up with, and maybe something new every now again. I love spending time with my family up at The Farm. I love to play games, bake, chat with friends and enjoy this beautiful life!
