Here's a pic of the tree, presents and stockings before the kids get up and to it all!
Here's Sierra with her new mp3 player. She was really excited to get it and always has it with her! That was her Santa gift. She got new snow boots and socks for her need. Her want was a music stand for her music while she plays the violin. Her family gift was from Emma and she gave her a Littlest Pet Shop V.I.P. horse and duck. For her spiritual gift she got scripture stickers.
Grace is showing off her Santa present, the Biggest Littlest Pet Shop. She and Joe and Emma are always playing with it and all their LPS pets. She got jeans for her need present. Her want was a collection of LPS pets. Joe had Grace's name and gave her some mixes for the Easy Bake Oven and a little candy vending machine that doubles as a piggy bank. For her spiritual gift she got the book, "The parable of the Chocolate Chips". It is a wonderful story!
Here Emma is play with her Princess Kitchen that she got from Santa....obviously she loves it and uses it a lot. If only she would quit filling everything up with water! She got some jeans for her need present. For her want she got an Aquadoodle with a dancing Cinderella and Prince Charming. When you draw a line on the Aquadoodle, Cinderella and Prince Charming follow the line dancing around! It is the cutest thing and loves to watch Cinderella dance. Sierra had her name and gave her dress up shoes, a play phone with a little purse and an Animal Planet bear and cub to play with. For her spriritual gift she got the board book of the First Christmas.
Here is Joe and Gary putting together Joe's new Black and Decker Tool Bench. You had to actually use the tools that came with it to put it together! It was a great project for the boys to do. That was Joseph's Santa gift. For his need he got new church pants, which he is already wearing a pair in the picture. His want present was the Tonka Titans Car Carrier, which is this huge semi and trailer with a couple of cars on it. His family gift came from Grace and she got him a tonka fire truck which he loves and pulls it around on his semi with all of his other cars. His spiritual present was the board book of More Book of Mormon Stories. We had a great Christmas! We got a couple of new games and movies as a family. I gave Gary a king size electric blanket that he loves to curl in every night when he gets home. He warms up so much faster and is always telling me how much he loves it. Gary got me the big, heavy duty professional 600 Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I love it so much!!! It will be used a LOT! It was wonderful to just hang out at home all day and enjoy each other and our new toys. We spent most of the day playing our new electronic Monopoly. Anyone who knows Gary knows that it is his favorite game and naturally, when we finally finished the game the next day, he kicked our butts! The next evening we got together with my family at my sister's house and ate dinner and exchanged gifts. It's always fun getting together during the holidays with everyone. On Saturday we went to Victor to hang out with Gary's family. We went sledding for a couple of hours up on top of Piney pass and had a ball. Then we went back to the house and ate dinner, chatted and opened presents. We headed home that night because it snowed hard all day and I didn't want to be stuck in the valley for the weekend. All in all it was a great week and I'm glad it's over, but very grateful for the memories, love, family and friendship.
