The Monday after Sierra broke her leg was her D.A.R.E. Graduation at school. She REALLY wanted to go to it for a couple of reasons. The main reason was because the real Coach Boone, you know...from the movie Remember The Titans, was going to speak. Sierra LOVES that movie. It is definitely a family favorite, but it is one of her favorites. The mascot for the school just happens to be the Titans.....because of the movie. When you walk into the school there is a huge poster from the movie with signatures of the real Coaches Boone and Yost. It's pretty neat. Anyway, Coach Boone is a good friend of the officer that is in charge of and teaches the D.A.R.E program in our area. This was the first time that he'd been to Idaho in 10 years! It was a real treat for all the kids.
He was a great speaker and stayed afterward and talked to all of the kids that wanted to say Hi to him.
They wanted a pic with Officer Mike too......he is a great teacher to all these kids and they all love him!
