So, on September 19th, while I was getting things ready so we could go to Green Canyon for Grace's birthday party, Gary took the training wheels off of Emma's bike. She was doing GREAT! She could whiz around like a crazy woman, she was turning pretty good and even stopping all by herself. Then we let her big brother out to ride his bike. That's when things turned bad. While they were riding their bikes, he ran right into her and her face went into her handle bars and pretty much put a hole through her lip.

We put some butterfly bandages on it and kept it clean. We weren't sure if we should get stitches in it or not. So we went swimming, trying to keep it as covered as we could. But it just kept seeping because it's on the lip. Her saliva kept coming through and no bandage would stay on it for very long. After we got home, we decided we should take her in and lo and behold, she gets 2 stitches right there on her lip. She did such a good job! They were able to put the numbing gel on there and that was enough. She didn't have to get the numbing shot first....Thank Goodness!! She was so tough. She never cried or anything and she sat so still for Dr. Curtis, whom she still talks about to this day....especially if we pass by the Community Care here in town.

She just cracks me up! This is her funny face that I just "had" to take a picture of. She made sure of it!
