Halloween 2009

Wow, Halloween lasted a LONG time this year! I'll explain....First, the big girls had a Daddy-Daughter Costume party for Achievement Days a week and a half before Halloween. They carved the Tinker Bell pumpkin that you see up above at the party. Not too shabby! ;) We had to have our Ward Trunk-Or-Treat the weekend before Halloween because we had Stake Conference the weekend of Halloween and the Adult session was the Saturday night we originally planned to have the Trunk-or-Treat. We couldn't do it on Friday night because there was a Halloween Carnival at the elementary school that we also went too. Ugh. Then the week of Halloween there were things happening, a party and parade for some of the Kindergardeners (like Joe) in the middle of the week and one on Friday for the rest of the school. Plus I signed up to help with Grace's class party too. Then we still went Trick-or-Treating on Halloween night! I was glad when it was all done. I really do like Halloween, but it was a little much this last time. I did carve the Snow White pumpkin for Emmalee, that was the one she really wanted.

This one was a pain in my rear end! This is the 2nd year in a row that I've carved Lightning McQueen for Joe and I need to really remember next year that I refuse to do it again. There are so many little cuts and details, it takes HOURS! It looks really neat.....but I don't think I can do it again for awhile. He's just going to have to pick out a different pattern.

Our Pumpkins!

I LOVE that Gary finally dressed up in a costume. I bought this one for him about 3 years ago and I finally got to take the tags off of it so he could put it on. The things that you'll do for your kids! Hehehehehehe. I love Grace's striped tights that she wore with her Witch outfit. Sierra is all about the warm and comfy!

Yes, I have my own prirate outfit that I wore at least 3 times! It was fun though. The kids love to dress up and get so excited about it....it's hard not to catch their enthusiasm!
