So on Facebook, I have a few friends who are doing a Thankful for post everyday in November to share all their favorite things they are thankful for......so am I. But I want to do it here on my blog to.....I want to expand my thought and say a little more than I could on FB. So my first one is my husband, Gary. I am so thankful for this man in my life. He is the hardest working man that I know. He's up every morning at 4:30 to go to a job that he really just does not like so much these days. But in this economy, we are just thankful to have a job that provides what we need. He has very long days at work and comes home to his family and listens to his kid's stories about their day. Some days he heads right back out to help out a friend with a project, or someone he knows that has a need that he can fulfill. He is one of the most giving, kind, self-less kind of person. When he does something, he never thinks about how it will benefit him or what he'll get out of it.
He may not be active in the sense of going to church and what-not, but he is truly and inspired man. He has so many promptings to do some of the most amazing things for those around him, I can't help but be in awe of him most days!
He loves his friends and family with such passion. Most days on his way home from work he makes phones calls to those he hasn't talked to in awhile just to catch up, see how they are doing, and find out if he can do anything for them. He calls his siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, my family.....it could be just about anyone that is in his phone....and some days he'll call me to look up a phone number for him because he really "feels" like he should call them. On some days he may be home by 6:30, but we may not actually see him in the house till 7:30 or 8! He just cares about those that he loves so much.
He really is funny.....He always makes me laugh....and there is usually a picture of him, like this one, sticking out his tongue(ask my mom!). Some days we just feed off of each other in that respect and are completely silly and pretty much dumb with one another....it's great!
He's such a good example to his kids....teaching them how to work hard and then be able to play harder! My kids adore him....especially his son! Joe would go to work with his dad everyday if he could! I'm so glad that Gary loves to take his kids away from it all to just spend good ol' quality time without any distractions....and they love it too!
In January we will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary.....some days it feels like it's been forever.....but most days, I wonder where the time has gone! I can't imagine my life without him in it. He's my best friend, my confidant and my sexy eye candy! I know someday we'll be able to be sealed together for eternity, but until then, I will just love him as he is everyday that I am allowed. I love you Gary!

what a great post!! Gary is a great guy, and you two deserve each other! :) Love that last picture of you two!
You said it all!!! He really is one of the best people I know. I love him so much, and admire him in so many ways. I think the relationship you two have is something to be completley proud of. You both are amazing. I wish I had read this yesterday...I might have to start doing this a day late!!! I just love the idea.
